Meet this Valerie's House Entrepreneur

She’s a Valerie’s House entrepreneur with a bright future ahead of her.

At only ten years old, this Valerie’s House- Fort Myers child started her own jewelry-making business to save money for her future.

Nataliya attends group night on Tuesday nights to grieve the death of her sister and grandmother.

She started making handcrafted jewelry in June 2022 and has seen great growth since her debut in the community.

Nataliya and some of her Jewelry

“I like making jewelry because it’s fun,” Nataliya said. “It gives me something to do with my free time.”

Nataliya started selling her creations by going door to door in her neighborhood. She recently had the idea to bring her business to Valerie’s House and see if anyone was interested in purchasing her jewelry.

She was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.

Valerie’s House volunteer John Mendes bought a custom bracelet from Nataliya and wants others to know about his experience.

“Nataliya is a bright young girl, and I am very impressed with how she runs her business,” John said. “I hope her creativity and professionalism inspire others.”

With the holidays approaching, Nataliya said she intends to put some revenue aside to purchase gifts for her puppy.

She has big plans for the future of her business and even intends to create a website where she can reach a broader audience.

“I am grateful that people at Valerie’s House support me and my small business,” Nataliya said.
